So it rained today…

Much like any other day really.

Its easier just to stay in, and ignore the flip side of the window outside.

Personally I prefer the sound of the rain bouncing off leaves and such things,

to the static and currents and dullness inside.

The hidden gemstones amongst the foliage still stick to task.

Natures beauty still there to grasp.

A closer look amongst the raindrops, the reds and shades of green.

The web and hunter and rain drops balanced in between.

Todays colours may be diluted by the clouds and the wet on the ground.

But with a little imagination, investigation and inversion…

a nice little blue gem can be found.

  1. Just the other day I was walking my regular nature trail and got caught in sudden rain. I ran home and ran inside all wet. Like your poem says, I preferred to be inside. Then I opened the blinds and windows and watched and listened to the rain. I love the way spiders are gems in the poem.
