Someone more creative than I obviously got here first…

Todays five minute walk took place in a mountainous area on the West coast. A place where in 1588 the ill-fated Spanish Armada sought refuge from a fierce storm in the Atlantic, and the British Empire to the east.

Just a five minute explore down this path…

This is North County Mayo. Green fields filled with sheep, lakes, old ruins and very little else.

The April weather is dull, cloudy and mild around 15 degrees Celsius. The people are friendly and every passing car gets a nod of the head or a wave of the hand.

One of the locals…

The fist swallow of the year fluttered by. A sign that spring is truly here and the leaves are starting to unfold, adding to the forever greening landscape. The larger birds are building their nests. The smaller song birds still singing their hearts out.

King of the hills and a new prince…

That’s your five mins walk for today, I hope you enjoyed it.

The greening landscape here looks like a natural mini-golf course.
