An Irish winter…

And five minutes later it could be an Irish spring. The snow arrived a week before Christmas and was gone before the big day.

My five minute walk last weekend brought me from my front door, past the two lakes and up and down the hills and back home again after around four miles.

It’s a great walk on most days but when it’s early on a freezing cold frosty morning it’s that bit more satisfying.

The foothills of County Down are on my doorstep.

The birds, wildlife and countryside are all around me.

The city is only 15 mins away.

The perfect mix for my family and I.

Walk with me for five…you never know who might drop in!

My friend the Robin greeted me on my return…

I might introduce a few of his feathered friends in my next post, An Irish garden?
